1. Untreated concrete has capillaries, pores and voids throughout its structure.
Liquids (water, oils, etc.) saturate the surface. The liquid’s pressure and capillary action pulls the liquid
into and through the capillaries, pores and voids and continues until it escapes to lower pressure
on the other side of the concrete structure.
Encountered steel reinforcing materials stay wet and rust.

2. Applied Crystal Lok®Concrete Treatment is pulled into the capillaries,
pores and voids. Its chemistry uses existing cement to chemically create new
high pH concrete where there was none. Within ± 15 minutes it begins
the waterproofing and dampproofing and hardening process.
The high pH around encountered steel re-bar, mesh, steel fiber remains
rust-free in the new environment, and reduces re-rusting in aged concrete.

3. Liquids (water, oils, etc.) as ground water pressure or deep into
ocean, lake or river, cannot penetrate or soak into the treated surface.
Algae, molds, fungus cannot colonize pores and growth is blocked.
Zero penetration has been tested to greater than 175 feet of water pressure
(75.86psi) (0.523MPa) onto fully absorbed ASTM samples.

4. Liquids (water, etc.) pressurizing the opposite face of the concrete
structure cannot penetrate into the treated concrete mass.
Liquids absorption are blocked by the absence of capillary action.
Liquids cannot move into the concrete with no exit on the
Crystal Lok - treated side. This Off-Side pressure has
Zero penetration tested to at least 135 foot column of water pressure
(58.52 psi) (0.404MPa).
